Mother Lode Gold

An interesting specimen of a vein fragment with crystalline Gold. Gold shows bright luster and an orangish color. Veinlet is 2 cm. thick. Few % pyrite along one edge. Found using a metal detector digging in old mine dumps. Weighs 6.1 Grams.

Unique!!

A small crystalline Gold specimen from the old, historic, Rochester mining district.  Brilliant, lustered buttery- yellow Gold crystallized onto a shiny, black Tourmaline crystal, which is set on a White Quartz matrix.  Weighs .21 Gram

Gold specimen (var. Electrum) from the Seven Troughs mining district. Gold occurs as blades, rods, grains and leaves in a dense Quartz matrix. Gold shows bright luster and a lemony yellow color.  A specific gravity determination indicates 1.8 Grams of Au. Specimen has been treated with mineral oil to enhance the contrast with Gold and Quartz.  Weighs 8.1 Grams

Lovely small nugget showing rich, buttery-yellow color, and a soft velvety luster. No Quartz matrix remains. Interesting simple character. Shows water wear.  Found in the Devils Nest placer in Stanton Arizona placer fields using a metal detector. Weighs .25oz.

A stunning, crystalline Gold specimen from the Oriental Mine in the Alleghany Mining District.  Arborescent Gold shows brilliant luster and a nice deep lemony yellow color. A basal Quartz matrix remains.

NEVADA GOLD

A large, crystalline Gold in snow white Quartz specimen. Gold exhibits nice brassy-yellow color, and brilliant luster. Found in an obscure and uncommon location in Nevada. A Specific Gravity determination indicates approximately 11.8 Grams contained Gold.

A FABULOUS, crystalline Gold specimen from the famous Sixteen to One Mine.  Gold shows brilliant luster and a nice orange-yellow color. Some bronze toning observed. Piece is showy, Quartz is fresh and lustrous, not HF etched. Approximately 10% Quartz matrix.  Weighs .13 OZ.

An exquisite, small, Gold specimen from the Olinghouse mine, NV. Gold is crystallized into wires.  Spectacular brilliant luster. Exhibits a pale, lemony-yellow color. The wires are scattered all over a wonderous tiny Quartz crystal matrix.  Very difficult to get these Olinghouse specimens. 

Micro-mount

Dendritic, crystallized leaf Gold. Very small, intricate and complex, with a few of the modified leaf crystallizing into individual branching stalks that are occasionally capped by weakly developed octahedrons on the terminations. Bright luster, nice color. A unique and scarce specimen. Very difficult to find!  Found within an obscure, old, historic, Nevada Gold camp.

UNIQUE!!!!

An elongated, crystallized wire-like Gold specimen from the Round Mountain Mine, NV. exhibiting very bright luster and a pale, yellow color.  The specimen appears to be composed of stacks of long, narrow sheets of leaf Gold, with pyramidal terminations on several ends.   No matrix. 

A small, flattened nugget found in the East Range placer fields. Few % of Quartz matrix remains, shows bright luster and an lemony-yellow color.  Interesting character. Found using a Goldbug2 metal detector.   Weighs .12 ounce.

Rare trace Quartz remains, nice character, well water worn piece. Found using a metal detector in this old, historic, Arizona Gold camp.  Weighs .54 oz.
