A complex, pristine, Spinel Twinned Gold crystal from the Asaa-Zag Province of the Western Sahara, Morocco. Partially undeveloped specimen shows a few flattened octahedrons, the unique rib-like fins, and a weak, leaning termination. Brilliant luster and an Apricot-yellow color. Few % Quartz, matrix remains. This is a new discovery and only a few of these crystals have been brought to market. As mentioned, the Moroccan government has issued a no exporting of Gold orders this year.
