Gold specimen from the Olinghouse Mine, NV.  Gold is crystallized into a myriad of ribbons, and leaves.  All sides show this crystallization. Brilliant luster. Color shows as orange-yellow. This piece was found in the placer areas so shows wear. Matrix appears to be Quartz and clays.  Weighs .10 Oz.

A MONSTER!! A large Gold nugget found in the East Range using a Goldbug2 metal detector. Gold shows a nice soft glowing luster, and exhibits an orangish tint. Contains about 10% Quartz matrix. A specific gravity determination indicates 152.5 Grams of contained Gold. Pretty rare nugget-- not many found like this one anymore. Housed in a 2" X 2" perky box. Total weight is 5.77 ounces.
