Cornucopia M. D.
Baker Co. OR
EASTERN OREGON GOLD!! Stunning Gold nugget from a relatively obscure mining area of Eastern Oregon. Cornucopia was the location of the largest hard rock discovery in 1884.  The erosion of these Quartz lodes formed placer deposits to the south, around the Carson Diggings and Halfway areas. Beautiful, rich, orangish-yellow color and very bright luster. Excellent character. Shows strong water-worn appearance.  No Quartz matrix remains. Weighs  9.32 Grams
