Pacific Island Gold!! Alluvial Gold Leaf Specimen with a complex history. Was mined at the Edie Creek Mine, Papua New Guinea, in the 1920s, and lost in the sea near Lea due to a plane crash. The Gold was recovered in 1922. Was eventually marketed in 2024 after being held by attorneys in a court case. Gold exhibits soft, satiny luster, and an orangish-yellow color. No matrix remains.
