UNIQUE!!!!

An elongated, crystallized wire-like Gold specimen from the Round Mountain Mine, NV. exhibiting very bright luster and a pale, yellow color.  The specimen appears to be composed of stacks of long, narrow sheets of leaf Gold, with pyramidal terminations on several ends.   No matrix. 

Micro-mount

Dendritic, crystallized leaf Gold. Very small, intricate and complex, with a few of the modified leaf crystallizing into individual branching stalks that are occasionally capped by weakly developed octahedrons on the terminations. Bright luster, nice color. A unique and scarce specimen. Very difficult to find!  Found within an obscure, old, historic, Nevada Gold camp.

Mother Lode Gold

An interesting specimen of a vein fragment with crystalline Gold. Gold shows bright luster and an orangish color. Veinlet is 2 cm. thick. Few % pyrite along one edge. Found using a metal detector digging in old mine dumps. Weighs 6.1 Grams.

Gold shows bright luster and a lemony yellow color.  A specific gravity determination indicates 1.8 Grams of Au. Specimen has been treated with mineral oil to enhance the contrast with Gold and Quartz.  Weighs 8.1 Grams
