A hefty Gold specimen (var. Electrum) from the Seven Troughs mining district. Gold occurs as blades, rods, grains and leaves in a Quartz matrix. Gold shows a subdued luster and an orangish color.  A specific gravity determination indicates 10.14 Grams of Au. Specimen has been treated with mineral oil to enhance the contrast with Gold and Quartz.  Housed in a 2" X 2" perky box.
